MCP (Model Context Protocol) fixes this: it is the open standard that lets AI assistants use external tools, and Readdit Later speaks it natively.     Add Your Personal Connector in Claude

    In Claude, go to Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector and add your personal Readdit Later connector. From then on your saves are available in every Claude conversation — on the web, desktop, or mobile app.

    Privacy: On Your Terms

    The two modes have deliberately different trust models. Local MCP runs entirely on your machine — nothing leaves it. Remote MCP is opt-in, secured by a private token, and auto-expires after 30 days of inactivity, so a connector you stop using shuts itself off. This sits on top of Readdit Later's local-first design: posts are cached in your browser's IndexedDB, and no post content leaves your browser unless you export it or explicitly enable the remote connector.
