Reddit Has a 1,000 Save Limit.
Every Reddit account can only display its most recent 1,000 saved posts. Everything older silently drops out of view. Here's what's happening and how to fix it.
How it works
Install the extension
Add Readdit Later to Chrome, Brave, Edge, or Arc from the Chrome Web Store. Takes under a minute.
Your saves sync automatically
Every post and comment you have saved on Reddit is imported and kept in sync - no manual work.
Organize, search, and export
Label, filter, search with AI, export to Notion, and let the agent surface what matters.
Reddit's listing endpoints - saved, upvoted, hidden, and history - all cap at 1,000 items. The limit has been in place for years, applies to every account regardless of Reddit Premium status, and is not going away. Once you cross it, your oldest saves stop appearing in any app, any interface, and the API itself.
Your posts aren't deleted. They still exist in Reddit's database. But they become unreachable: you can't search for them, scroll to them, or export them. The only reliable fix is continuous syncing - capturing each save into an external library before it falls past the 1,000 window.
Readdit Later captures saves directly from your saved page as it loads, often recovering posts the API can no longer list. From install day forward, every save is preserved permanently - your archive only grows.
What you get
Captures past the 1,000 wall
Readdit Later reads posts directly from Reddit's saved page, recovering saves the API no longer returns.
Continuous background sync
Every new save flows into your library automatically. You never lose another post to the cap.
Full-text search across all saves
Search by keyword, subreddit, date, or post type across your entire history - not just the last 1,000.
AI auto-categorization
Every save is filed into the right collection the moment it arrives. No manual sorting ever needed.
Export to Notion, CSV, Markdown & more
Move your saves to the tools where you work. Set it once and new saves flow on schedule.
