Auto-Categorization
Auto-categorization is the use of AI to read a piece of content, understand its meaning, and file it into the right category automatically — no manual tags, folders, or sorting. In Readdit Later, every Reddit post you save is categorized the moment it syncs.
Meaning, not keywords
Older auto-tagging matched keywords: a post mentioning 'python' got tagged Python even if it was about the snake. Modern auto-categorization uses language models that read the post the way a person would — a career-change story that never says the word 'career' still lands in Career.
Why it matters
Manual organization fails not because people can't tag, but because they won't — consistently, forever. Automatic filing removes the maintenance cost entirely, which is what keeps a library organized after the first burst of enthusiasm fades.
