Export Reddit Saves to Google Docs

Google Docs is where research becomes writing. If you are drafting an article from saved threads, compiling customer research from subreddit discussions, or assembling a study document from expert answers, you eventually need Reddit content in an editable, shareable document — not trapped in Reddit's flat saved list. Reddit offers no export at all, and copy-pasting threads one at a time mangles formatting and loses the metadata (subreddit, date, link) that makes a source citable. The clean path is to export your saves in a structured format first, then bring them into Docs in bulk.

If you have the Lifetime plan, the Markdown export gives you an even cleaner route. Google Docs supports Markdown natively: enable it once under Tools → Preferences → Enable Markdown, then use Edit → Paste from Markdown to convert an exported Markdown file's contents into fully formatted Docs content — headings, lists, bold, and links all convert correctly. Markdown is also the more durable format to keep as your permanent archive, since every notes tool from Obsidian to Logseq reads it. Export once, and the same file feeds Google Docs today and your knowledge base tomorrow.
