How the Reddit 1,000-Save Cap Works
Reddit's listing endpoints — saved, upvoted, hidden — all cap at 1,000 items. This applies to every account, including Reddit Premium. Here's what happens.
Your saves aren't deleted
The posts still exist in Reddit's database. But they become unreachable — you can't search for them, scroll to them, or access them through any app or the API. They're effectively invisible.
There's no warning
Reddit doesn't notify you when saves fall past the cap. There's no counter, no alert, no "you're running low on save slots" message. Posts just silently stop appearing.
Premium doesn't help
Reddit Premium does not raise the 1,000-item display limit. It's an API-level restriction that applies equally to free and premium accounts.
